Wet Weather Process & Information

• Here’s the process for confirming weekend matches:

  • NRF announce that fixtures are confirmed on their Facebook page every Friday at 4pm

  • Check your match on nrf.org.nz for late changes before travelling

  • Please note - even if council websites say grounds are closed, NRF’s fixtures are correct, as we control allocated grounds over the weekend

• NRF will follow this wet weather cancellation process if needed

• Club map - whether you’re trekking to West Auckland or Whāngarei, NRF have added all 73 clubs to a Google Map to get you there

Please have a read of the NRF wet weather policy in full on the link above, but please see a snippet below:

• NRF confirms weekend draws on the NRF Facebook page at around 4pm on Fridays
• Occasionally, changes to individual matches are made Friday night or over the weekend if conditions change or grounds are closed 
  • If this happens, NRF will contact clubs directly
• Please check your fixture on the NRF website for changes before travelling to games, especially if it's wet
  • If games are changed to another ground, postponed, cancelled or defaulted, it will say so on the website 

Game day blanket cancellations 

NRF aim to publish game day blanket cancellation notifications by 8am on game days.

• Notification of blanket cancellations on game day mornings will be posted to NRF homepage, Facebook page and NRF Northland Facebook group until the fixtures can be updated
  • If you're unsure if your game will go ahead, check there first

Notices apply to Auckland competitions only unless specified. 

If it's wet, double check fixtures before travelling for last minute changes. 

If possible we will update a notice on our facebook page, but it is team Coaches & Managers responsibility to check their teams game play status for the weekend.
